We're focused on saving you time and  money whilst simultaneously providing a seamless experience.

OBJECTIVE

Quantifying the inconvenience of the

“convenient online shopping”

Research Hypothesis-Interviews

Our research shows that online shopping is a time costly.

Our hypothesis is that searching for a product, comparing at least 3 deals and ensuring that you are getting the best price will take at least 5 minutes per product.

We will be asking our interviewees to do a similar task in the interview to measure this hypothesis

Our research shows that the average consumer has about 5 items in their shopping list/wishlist.

Our hypothesis is that the average consumer will have an average of 5 items of the shopping list/wishlist.

This will be a general question asked within our interview

Interview key findings

After our interview process we found some key finding from our interviews:

  • it took all interviewees an average of 2.5-3 minutes to find a product and compare 3 different prices.

  • Our interviewees had an average of 6 items in their shopping cart/wishlist

  • 100% of interviewees try to look for the best deals

  • Some interviewees want the best deals but cannot be bothered to put in effort in doing so.

Basically…

3 mins per item × 6 items on wishlist

equals

20+ mins average online shop

NOTE: This does NOT guarantee that consumer gets best deal

Design Process

The process from early ideation, mid fidelty, A/B testing, user testing and feedback to high fidelty and the final product.

Early Ideation

Mid Fidelty Prototypes

A/B Testing

Whilst creating our early low-fidelity and mid fidelity mockups, we wanted to test a couple of things. We aimed to make the website

  • Easy to understand

  • Visually appealing

  • Usable

  • Functional

We decided to make 2 different variations of the product page as consumers will spend a lot of time on this specific page.

Page A

Pros:

  • Very informative

  • Simple interface

  • Easy to understand

Users love the AI feature at the bottom

Page B

Pros:

  • Clean Interface

  • Simple

  • Easy to understand

When compared to page B majority of users prefer page A
