Problem
Navigating the travel industry is highly confusing, with the complexities of booking flights, accommodations, and other arrangements causing significant stress. By the time travelers reach their destination, they are often too burnt out to fully enjoy and relax. Additionally, as foreigners, they find it challenging to have authentic experiences, further diminishing the quality of their holiday. How might we create authentic connections with locals for travellers so that travellers can unite with locals who share the same passions to create memorable and lasting experiences
SOLUTION
Introducing a platform that connects travelers with locals to create authentic experiences. It offers personalized itineraries, local insights, and unique activities, reducing travel stress and facilitating genuine connections. This ensures travelers can relax and immerse themselves in their destination authentically.
research OBJECTIVE
As a researcher i want to understand the processes that users take to plan a trip and how i can develop an app that allows the user to have an easier and more comfortable experience when planning a trip
Research Validation
By conducting 5 interviews and asking various questions it will give me more information in regards to the thought processes and reasons behind users and how they plan holidays. I will look into the thought pain points of each user and understand where there is a need for relief within the trip planning process
Reseaerch Interview- Questions
We formulated these questions in a way to allow us to collect information for a user persona
1. Tell us about a recent holiday or trip you planned. What motivated you to choose that destination?
2. How did you decide on the destination and dates for your trip? Did you set a budget?
3. What sources did you use to gather information about the destination? Were there any challenges during the research phase?
4. Walk us through your trip itinerary. How did you balance planned activities with free time?
5. How did you approach packing? Any packing tips or items you wish you had brought along?
6. What mode of transportation did you use, and how did you handle logistics and travel arrangements?
7. How did you choose accommodations? Any memorable experiences with where you stayed?
8. Did you engage in any local cultural experiences or try new foods during your trip?
9. Share some of the most memorable moments from your trip. Any unexpected highlights?
10. Looking back, is there anything you would do differently, and what advice would you give to someone planning a similar holiday?
